About the Property

In 1916, industrialist James Deering, a successful businessman and philanthropist, acquired this parcel of land. Deering’s vision was to create a palatial retreat that blended European grandeur with Miami’s tropical beauty, and so, he enlisted the expertise of renowned architect Paul Chalfin to bring his vision to life.
Landscape architect Diego Suarez was entrusted with the creation of Vizcaya’s enchanting gardens. The expansive grounds feature a variety of garden styles, including:
